[ 1 ruined town ]
[Tonight's video finds a masked, red-headed girl in the freezing cold. She's on what looks like a ferry (and it is; she decided to pay up to go to this Pallet Town or whatever, as it was offered!) and it's snowing.
She isn't happy. The only thing that fits this weather is an incredibly heavy jacket she got as part of her welcome package. It pretty much looks like an old woman's, but it's warmer than what she's wearing underneath.
What words of wisdom will a Prosecutor of the Church of Areulla share with us tonight?]
That old man refused to answer my questions unless they were about a beast I found floating around me, so I am going to politely request your assistance. It would a favor to the Church if you would help me.
["The Church" means nothing here, but she might as well see if it has its uses.]
Is it always this cold here and, if so, how long does it stay? I would like to know how many others are here as well, and if there is someone named Caius among them. I am searching for him and his friends, as they have something very... precious to me.
[She pauses to tug the coat closer, never mind that it can't exactly get closer to her.]
As stated before, your help is appreciated. [A pause. Information for information, perhaps.] I believe my name and rank will work for an exchange for such mundane queries. I am Rommy, a Prosecutor. I am in service to the Pope, and I share the position with a fellow comrade who no doubt will seek me out provided he is here.

People from different worlds get pulled here for whatever reason; I'm Aradia Megido!
video;
It's nice to meet you, Miss Megido, but would you mind me asking if you're hard of hearing? I know very well the place I'm in. The map provided with this-- bag told me so, as well as the shipmaster of this ferry. I asked if it was always so cold here.

Winter's winter. Springtime'll roll around in a couple months.
[The girl on the screen looks scruffy, disgruntled, and not particularly impressed with the claims about working for the Pope. Heather Mason has never exactly had a good relationship with religion.]
'Fraid you won't be getting back to the Vatican any time soon, probably.
[voice]
There's no Church here that I know of, I'm afraid, nor anything resembling organized religion that I can tell. If anyone you know is here, they will likely contact you before too long.
As for the temperature... well, if the climate is what I'm presuming it to be, it should let up in about three to four months, but it's certainly going to get worse before it gets better.
[voice]
Your information is appreciated. [She's half content about being right about the Church not having power here-- and half upset about it. She'll have to gather it through other means.] The weather can't be helped, although I wish it would stop snowing how terrible awful sticking to this coat and not doing anything useful, but I will hope it passes sooner than that.
"Legendary 'mons"?
I suppose our Churches would be differently, wouldn't they. Mine is not located in this Vatican place, but in Janna. Regardless of discrepancies, your information is appreciated. With luck, spring will roll around sooner than a few months.
[Her word choice might be mocking, yeah.]

Um, I meant people who worship super strong and one of a kind Pokemon...
So, what, does spring manifest randomly where you're from instead of just coming after winter? Because here, it's a couple months away.
They sound truly ridiculous. Are these "one of a kind" beasts obtainable?
[Because if they're super strong, they're super meant for her.]
much warmer than here, in the first place. It's almost unnoticeable when winter shifts to spring. Rommy purses her lips, because impudence isn't taken lightly.]
I suppose I will just have to find something to keep myself warm in, aside from this clothing provided. [Maybe another beast.] Are there beasts that give off a natural warmth here?
video;
I am assuming there are... better modes of transport than by boat here, correct?
Re: [video]
Re: [video]
Then I'm going to assume no one has managed such a feat?
[voice]
[voice]
It is certainly unfit for travel. Are there people foolhardy enough to attempt it?
[-- comments on her own state are unneeded, thank you.]
Yeah, there's fire-type Pokemon. I can't think of any that are in the wild in the place everybody arrives in, though. Could be wrong.
Might wanna get to a town ASAP and mail-order a fire Pokemon egg or something.

Call me Mason.

[...she was presumably in New Bark Town and he would not want to be stuck there all winter so he will be less snide than he might have been...]

[voice]
I share your sentiments, although I must wonder - at what point does foolhardy become stupid?
[voice]
[voice]
Considering my experiences with the two I would have to say they go hand in hand as well, with a helping of stubborn and overconfident. Wouldn't you say?
[voice]
and now time to have exactly zero self-awareness and be the pot calling the kettle black]
Oh, most certainly. Some people have absolutely no idea when to quit-or when they shouldn't even bother starting in the first place, really.

[Having to be fairly nice to the locals is a hard deal. But there's no use making an enemy the first day of class, as it were. Then again, only somewhat apologetic.]
[voice]
You are her new lackey deal w/it]Are there many of that kind here?
[voice]
But of course. What I wouldn't do to never have to deal with those kind again...
Nice to meet you, anyway. Or something.
